App Privacy Policy
SHEER Mobile Application

1. Scope and controller
This Privacy Policy applies to the SHEER mobile dating application and its account, profile, matching, messaging, Events, safety, support, and paid-feature services (the "App"). PWD Entertainment, LLC is the controller. The separate waitlist and website policy remains available at /legal/privacy.
The App is for adults age 18 and older. If we learn that an account belongs to a minor, we may restrict it and delete its data as permitted or required by law.
2. Data the App collects

3. Events privacy
An Event host chooses a venue and may provide an exact address. Event discovery, notifications, logs, analytics, Admin operational records, and support views use only safe Event identifiers and public city/area information. The exact address is returned only through authenticated Event detail to the host or a currently authorized approved participant. It is unavailable after Event cancellation or participant removal.
Join-request messages are visible to the host and applicant for the Event workflow but are excluded from public cards, push notifications, operational audit metadata, and Admin Event records. Event direct and group chats are separate from dating Match chats and never reveal an old dating conversation.
4. Visibility and sharing with other members
Your profile and profile fields are shown according to the privacy choices and relationship stage supported by the App. People you interact with may see content you send them and may save or share content outside the App; we cannot recall screenshots or copies already received.
Event group and direct chats remain part of Event history after the Event. Access can be revoked for blocks, removal, cancellation, account erasure, or safety enforcement. A cancelled Event group becomes read-only. Event approval may create a dating Match relationship, but its separate dating conversation opens only after either party explicitly uses the free open action.
5. Service providers and disclosures
We use service providers for cloud hosting and storage, authentication, chat delivery, push notifications, media and text processing/moderation, location lookup, identity or age verification where enabled, purchases, analytics, diagnostics, customer support, and security. They process data under our instructions for those services. App stores and payment providers process purchases under their own terms.
Event venue autocomplete uses Google Maps Platform. Google's processing is governed by the Google Maps Terms of Service and Google Privacy Policy. We send the address search text and the saved profile-location bias needed to return nearby suggestions; we do not send the dating profile to Google. After selection, Amazon Location Service normalizes the confirmed address for the durable Event record; see Amazon Location data sources and attribution.
We may also disclose information when required by law, to protect users or the service, to professional advisers, or during a corporate transaction subject to appropriate protections. We do not sell personal data and do not use App data for cross-company targeted advertising.
6. Retention and deletion
Request deletion of your SHEER account
In the App, open Settings, choose Delete account, and confirm. If you cannot access the App or prefer to make a request outside it, email privacy@sheer.dating with the subject "SHEER account deletion". Include the email address or sign-in provider associated with your SHEER account so we can locate it. Do not send your password, sign-in codes, or identity documents. We may ask you to verify ownership before processing the request.
Data deletion and retention
We retain account and feature data while your account is active and as needed for the purposes above. Event records and Event chat history are retained until account or authorized administrative erasure; approved participants retain completed-Event history and its venue access. Safety, transaction, consent, suppression, and audit records may be retained longer where necessary for fraud prevention, disputes, legal obligations, or to enforce a deletion or opt-out.
You can request account deletion through the App. Deletion revokes active access, cancels hosted active Events, removes private venue data and direct Event channels according to the erasure workflow, and removes or de-identifies account data unless retention is required or permitted by law. Provider-side deletion may complete asynchronously from a durable cleanup queue.
7. Your choices and rights
You can manage profile visibility, push categories, blocks, hides, and other available privacy controls in the App. Depending on your location, you may request access, correction, export, deletion, restriction, objection, or withdrawal of consent. Contact privacy@sheer.dating. We may need to verify your identity before completing a request.
8. International processing and security
We and our providers may process data in countries other than where you live. Where required, we use appropriate transfer and contractual safeguards. We use access controls, encryption in transit, restricted administrative projections, audit records, moderation, and other technical and organizational safeguards, but no service can guarantee absolute security.
9. Changes and contact
We may update this policy as the App changes. We will post the revised effective date and provide any additional notice required by law.
